Fish Monger Blackfish / Upcoming Fluke & Seabass – Finished up our last week and trips of the spring tog season. All were about the same… South swell n current had it feeling like a beg of April bite… loads of life bites n action at times but Def on the slower side atleast with the keepers only coming up w 8-15 keepers on the trips. Few ling cod n lots of big seabass (Released) Didnt go out with a big bang but we had some fun with some awesome groups… thanks everyone who joined us this April!
Lots to look forward to… like the last bunch of years we will b in the back water doing some light tackle fluking to start until the seabass opens. We usual don’t see the ocean fluke bite get going good until late June (around fathers day) but plenty of bottomfishing will keep us busy till then..With the amount seabass already around while we were blackfishing it looks to b promising for grocery shopping from May 17th on… Like in the past We will b running 2 trips to get everyone in on the inshore action… esp with the size of the seabass locally the last few years being as good as it gets. Loading up n leaving time for some river fluking while the mates do some cutting is the game plan!
Availability Update – All Morning Am trips are booked/ Chartered but we still have a few pm dates left for seabass or river fluke in May.
