Who We Are and What We Do Ironclad meets all Coast Guard and Fish and Wildlife Requirements and is operated by a USCG Certified licensed captain(s). The vessel is equipped with modern electronics (updated in 2019), radar, A.E.D., EPIRB, life raft and other safety equipment. From short inshore trips to overnight trips in U.S. Waters, Coastal Offshore, San Clemente Island and Coronado Islands. Ironclad Sportfishing has it all. Based out of Mission Bay you’ll have an unparalleled wealth of fishing grounds to explore. Hit the banks, islands, reefs, or stay inshore. Whatever you want, the Ironclad Crew have you covered. The 38’ Topaz offshore sport fishing boat has everything you need for an exciting, and productive day on the water. Up to 6 guests are welcome, with comfortable seating, bedding, and a galley to make you feel at home. She features a full head (bathroom) for your convenience, and soft drinks and snacks are all inclusive throughout your time on board. With the tall fly-bridge the crew can search for paddies, boiling fish, working birds, and bait schools, while you’ll also get to take advantage of the outriggers to troll. You’ll find 3 kites on board along with all rods and reels you need to fill the boat. Vary your techniques and get ready for an intense workout against monster fish. In the bays and kelp beds, you’ll have the chance to go after some of California’s favorite fish. Try to fill the boat with delicious Rockfish, Halibut, Yellowtail, Tuna, Dorado, Marlin White Seabass, and many more delicious fish. Head offshore, and you’ll go after some seriously big fish. Expect some heavy lifting as you use all your strength against Tuna, Mahi Mahi, and some even bigger Californian species. At the end of your trip, the captain or mate will clean and fillet your catch. You’d better make some room in the freezer, as you’re sure to be coming home with a boatload of delicious fish. All you need to do is grab your fishing license, bring any food and adult beverages you want, and discover the deep Pacific waters.
