FISHING REPORT: Spokane Confluence to Roosevelt North End(WA) 2/1/22

2/2/22:

Launched at 7 bays and fished a bit below the confluence and mostly North to Castle Rock. Couldn’t find any schools of fish and explored some new areas but had to work to get much action. Was hoping to find something interesting like a lingering kokanee but didn’t succeed.
Results:
-Caught and released 1 20″ native and a couple limits worth of clipped rainbows ranging from 14-21″
-Kept 4 decent rainbows for smoking (got some new apple wood chips and a new recipe to try)
-Best color of the day: a new fluorescent green, caught a few on orange and chartreuse as well
-Water level is around 1277, slightly below where it was last year at this time.
