8/9/2023 Fishy Fun: today Capt. Stu took the half day and in the afternoon we ran not one but two Fishy Fun trips! We had a much better time at Star Site today than yesterday, with the flood tide in the afternoon yielding a decent catch for the 23 aboard, though all keepers were released. The evening was even better: 39 fish total caught by the 12 aboard, with 16 kept and shorts and some other keepers set free to live another day.
8/8/2023 Half Day: I think we were the only fishing boat to go out of Lewes yesterday and we very quickly found out why. The longer we stayed out the rougher it became, and eventually we left the Star Site to fish in the lee of the Outer Wall. Little success anywhere. But we tried. The one keeper was a ribbonfish that mate Max took home. His words: “I’m gonna scare my cat with this.” By the way, we’re hiring.
