FISHING REPORT: Yeah Right Charters (Lexington, NC)3/11
Captain Butch has been so busy getting the pontoon finished up for the up coming fishing season. He’s been working every day till dark or later but he says we’ll be ready to go before our 1st trip gets here. Ever since we went catfishing last Friday, he just hasn’t had time to get the report on. So, I’m going to help him out by doing it for him
After seeing all the catfish being caught on High Rock, Capt Butch and I decided to give it a try. We loaded up the Bay Boat with the M/H REEL DEEL RODS, invited Ryan Huneycutt, his dad, Oron and his son Cordel to go with us. Ryan has been wanting to learn more about catfishing and today was the perfect day to practice what he’s learned helping Capt Butch. From throwing the cast net for fresh shad, baiting the hooks and helping set the lines with Butch, his family caught and landed several catfish making for a great day of fishing.
Ryan thought he had big fish of the day with his 15.8 pound blue, but when it was almost quitting time, Oron caught a 28 pound flathead. After lots of picture taking the Flathead was released to fight another day. It’s always a great day when we all get together.
If the weather cooperates, our fishing charter season starts next Monday, March 17. Lots of people wanting to go fishing and our next available date is already in June. Going to be a busy year. Please call or text soon (336 309-5900) and get in the book if you want to go fishing with Capt Butch, Bubba and me. I promise we’ll do our best to put you on the crappies, Catfish, Bream, Perch or Hybrids. Hope to see you soon on the water.
