Golden Rainbow Trout are without a doubt one of the most beautiful variations of Trout. A deep golden-yellow with pinkish lower fins, pink to red tones on their cheeks and the signature reddish lateral stripe of the Rainbows.

It is important to know Golden Rainbows are actually not Rainbow Trout hybrids. They are simply color variations of Rainbow Trout and are usually raised and stocked as a novelty for anglers – especially beginners who seem to have an easier time locating these brightly colored fish. Nonetheless, if you can find a stream populated with these gold bars and are lucky enough to hook up, you’ll still be enamored by their gorgeous profile.
