We picked at blackfish most of the day today with both keepers and shorts. We caught quite a few big porgies on Wednesday but none today, they may have left with the full moon. We’re hoping to get enough people to sail tomorrow, and Sunday looks like a great day. Text me at (516) 361-9275 for reservations.

The Yankee Clipper and Yankee Star have been producing good trips. Anglers have been seeing a good haddock bite and some people are getting close to their limit on marathons. Pollock and Cod are coming up too.

The jig trips are a go and the fishing is really turning on. The Saturday 10 hour trip was a little hot and cold but we found some pollock and white hake. The Sunday 12 hour was very successful, everyone slammed them. A little slow for the first hourish then a lot of big pollock with many double headers. Plenty of haddock and redfish in the mix.…Read More

Fishing was picky today with a few Blackfish, some big Porgies and some Seabass and triggerfish. Dogfish were a little hungrier than usual. We’ve been fishing the inshore reefs and rocks fishing for everything that bites the hooks using green and white crabs for bait.
We’re sailing every day, weather permitting, from 7am till 4pm. Tom…Read More -

Capt JR reports a pretty good day on the Viking Starlite. The Sea Bass fishing was once again as good as it gets with everyone easily getting their limit of big beautiful knot heads. However, the Fluke bite was definitely way off. Maybe they need some time to recover after the giant ground swell the last few days, or maybe they just didn’t want t…Read More

Fishing Day 2 with Jeremy, Greg, and Steve…6/22/2024
The dogs woke me up 45 minutes before my alarm was to go off, so I just got up, and stayed up. A cup of coffee, out on the back deck, hit the spot. While the dogs were busy with their morning routine of sniffing the yard for any critters that may have traveled…Read More -

After several reschedules due to wind, we were finally able to make it happen! 3 generations of Dehart family in the boat with me today! They had a few lingering storms, but the breeze kept us comfortable, with some overcast, while we were out. Mr. Harris, Harris, and Bo went to work and put a nice box of fish together. The Fluke bite was off from yesterday with only a few keepers boated but Ling catches remain good each day. We’ve been drifting the reefs and rock piles with clams, squid and spearing in hopes of catching everything possible.
