Fishing Day 4 with Bob and Bruce…10/9/2025
Later start this morning, because I had to hit three bait shops, looking for Emeralds. Hi-Way only had pin-head sized shiners….same with Herb’s, so I call Wozniak’s Sunoco, which is on the other side of town, close to where I live. They had Emeralds, and they were the perfect size… 2-2 1/2”, so we went there.
It was 8:00am by the time we got back to Mazurik’s to launch, so it only added an extra 1/2 hour. It was worth it to get the minnows.
We hit the east side of Middle Island this time…just below the line…34’ of water. It was rough up there this morning but the Spot-Loc held us pretty well…no complaints.
It started off slow, but then we were getting bites.
We caught 11 jumbos (1 1/2 fish per pound).
We also caught Sheephead, Whitebass, Catfish, and White Perch… and then the bite died off, so we moved. We didn’t find another bite after that. 🫤
We were using 2 hook crappie rigs, that I make.
The catch was 7 pounds at Port Clinton Fish Co.
I’m off the next four days…
    Stay tuned…
