Was great to be back out on the black Fish grounds after having to be tired of the Dock with that strong winds of the last few days. Not saying that today wasn’t a very windy day, but we were able to make the best of it. High hooks had limit of nice chinners. Shorts to keep rods bent all trip long . Slower weekend on the full day grounds. Sunday was better than Saturday. Good showing of 18” fish to swim another day
Sunday did see some over fishing the 5+ pound range
Eyeball jigs and gulp were the ticket to the keepers with the slow drift. Very very soft bite.

We would like to thank those of you who have sailed with us in the past and welcome those that are trying us for the first time. The Frances Fleet operates four boats out of the Port of Galilee in Narragansett, RI and was founded in 1978 by Frank Blount. Through the years, some of the boats have been replaced with others but the goal of the company has remained constant, providing customers with the services they want at reasonable prices. We want you to “catch a good time” as well as some fish!
The Frances Fleet offers a variety of fishing trips, including Half and Full day, Whale Watch, Night, Tuna and Private Charters. Novices and experienced anglers alike are welcome on all our trips, and our crew will be happy to give instructions to anyone who wants or needs assistance. Reservations are required for all of our trips and can be conveniently booked here on our website. Rods are available for rent or you can bring your own and bait is supplied free of charge. Our store, Captain Tackle, sells a variety of tackle, baits, snacks and gifts.
The Frances Fleet consists of four vessels: the Lady Frances, Gail Frances, Admiral Frances and the Frances. All vessels and their safety equipment are inspected annually by the United States Coast Guard to ensure your safety. Our in-house maintenance personnel are always on hand to keep all the vessels in tip top shape. The vessels are available for either pre scheduled open boat adventures or private charters can be arranged. Be sure to book your adventure soon!
