Tue Aug 6 – Montauk Lighthouse Jumbo Porgies & Knothead Sea Bass
Capt Dave reports a good trip on the Viking Starship. Porgy fishing was excellent by the lighthouse. We started out on the anchor and had mostly nice size fish. We also did some drifting. There were some Sea Bass, but they were on the smaller size. Sea Bass fishing was lively by Block Island. There were a lot of smaller fish, but everyone managed a few keepers. Some Mackerel were also in the mix. The pool winner was Everald Golding from the Bronx with a 2 1/2 lb Porgy.
